Jima Fahnbulleh is a Staff Attorney at the Public Health Law Center where she provides national legal technical assistance on the impact of local preemption on commercial tobacco control laws and policies to public health advocates, public health organizations, and state and local health departments.

Prior to working at PHLC, Jima was an intern at the Centers for Disease Control Public Health Law Program. There she surveyed and analyzed how laws regarding Maternal and Child Health and HIV PrEP affect public health outcomes in marginalized communities. Jima also worked with numerous local health departments in her home state of Indiana in developing legal and public health responses during the opioid epidemic.

Jima loves to dance, travel, and spend time with her loved ones.
