Natalie Hemmerich provides legal technical assistance on commercial tobacco control issues to public health professionals and organizations, community advocates, and local governments throughout the United States. Natalie also works on issues of federal tobacco control, encouraging the Food and Drug Administration to enact strong regulations for the protection of public health.
Prior to joining the Public Health Law Center, Natalie was a policy fellow at the Center of Excellence in Regulatory Tobacco Science at the Ohio State University. There she wrote about and researched issues relating to federal tobacco control including the intersection of law and science, the deeming regulation, e-cigarettes, and the regulation of synthetic nicotine.
