Law and policy that is effective in improving public health is also effective in advancing health equity. This webinar will focus on ways to ensure that equity is identified, incorporated, and maintained at every stage of commercial tobacco control law and policy work. Public Health Law Center attorney Natasha Phelps will provide an overview of key terminology and theories like the social determinants of health, inequity, and health equity, and describe ways to ensure that equity is addressed in commercial tobacco control law and policy areas such as research, solution identification, drafting, advocacy, enforcement, and evaluation.
